What I do besides building with MINDSTORMS:
Wait what? There is a world outside…LE…G…..oh…ok. Outside of MINDSTORMS I am a student of mechanical engineering at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. I will be graduating with a BS in mechanical engineering in 2011. As far as sports go I do roller speed-skating and archery. I am also pursuing 41 patents, mostly related to engine and transmission design.

Experience with MINDSTORMS:
I received my first MINDSTORMS RIS 2.0 when I was 11. From then on I was hooked. I participated in the FIRST LEGO League(FLL) for 5 years as a competitor from Volcanic Panic to No Limits. Also I solved the First Contact Challenge at Space Camp. During my finial year as a competitor in No Limits, My team, CODE (Coalition of Device Engineers), took first place at the state tournament. At the world festival, CODE earned 10th place. I mentored an FLL team during Ocean Odyssey and Nano Quest. In both competitions, the team went to the world festival and did very well. I also Judged 2 regional tournaments and a state tournament for the Nano Quest Challenge. I have been involved with each FLL challenge in some manor. I also write articles for James Kelly and the Brickjournal.
