From: New Zealand Experience: Brief bio:

I live in New Zealand with my partner and four children. For fun, I am into robotics in a big way. My children and I spend a lot of time building robots with LEGO MINDSTORMS. My other interests include 4 wheel driving, mobile devices and mountain-biking.

Experience with LEGO MINDSTORMS:

My children got their MINDSTORMS NXT for Christmas 06. By end of the Christmas holidays, my children were completely enmeshed with the MINDSTORMS and robotics – and I also got into it!
So my involvement in MINDSTORMS came through helping the children create their dreams – whether it is a NXT based machine gun, NXT based stair climber, NXT based floating bug sprayer, a clean-up robot based on Disney-Pixar’s film, WALL-E, or a robot to light fireworks. My latest passion is building sumo robots or fighting machines and building robots that can go to place which are too dangerous or hazardous for humans.
I am also a MINDSTORMS Community Partner (MCP), and an active blogger. Currently I am writing a book that would be published later this year on NXT robotics in conjunction with 9 other authors.
